ADHD Assessment

Writing a test.

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, is a condition contributing to difficulties with focus, and emotional and behavioural regulation. ADHD can lead to interferences at school, work, and most other areas of life leading to frustration and the potential development of other mental health conditions including depression and anxiety.

An ADHD assessment completed at our clinic can provide you with valuable information about your brain performance. This assessment involves a health record review and biopsychosocial history taking, QEEG, measurement of cognitive performance, and additional selected assessments. No referral is required to begin the assessment process. Skerrett Psychology also provides psychoeducation and coaching on how to manage the symptoms of ADHD.

Where: Available at both our Fort Erie and St. Catharines locations.

How: Testing days are in person while the initial consultation and results visits can be in person, by video, or by phone.

Who: Services available for children (6 and up), adolescents, and adults.

Price: Please call our office for a quote. Extended health benefits may cover a portion or all of your treatment.

Assessment Process

The assessment begins with intake information and an interview. It is helpful if you can provide a copy of any prior assessment results and a recent report card. The full assessment takes approximately 8 to 10 hours and will be booked at your convenience over 1 to 3 days.

Two weeks following the last date of testing, you are invited to a results visit in which all testing results and diagnoses will be explained to you. A summary report will also be provided for you to take to your school or physician.

Please arrive for testing well prepared:

  • Intake forms must be completed before the initial interview is conducted.
  • Ensure that you or your child/adolescent have had a good night’s sleep and eaten breakfast.
  • Breaks are provided as needed. Please bring a drink and snack to maintain your energy level for optimal performance.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
