Children & Adolescents

We help children and adolescents experiencing social, cognitive, emotional, and behavioural difficulties that are interfering with their daily lives and/or development.

We'll individualize your child's/adolescent's treatment based on their understanding and engagement in counselling. As they age, our sessions aim to support their growing self-sufficiency and desire for independence which will be reflected in treatment strategies and goals.

We utilize a combination of expressive techniques, play and narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to suit their needs. We also provide expertise to parents on the best approaches to support and manage their child’s/adolescent's psychological and behavioural challenges.

Through close collaboration and support from parents, we will help your child/adolescent on their unique journey to personal growth and success.

Below are some examples of possible difficulties your child/adolescent may be facing at home, school, and beyond:

  • Social: Attachment, communication skills, and shyness.
  • Cognitive: Attention, learning difficulties, and academic problems.
  • Emotional: Depression, anxiety, and anger.
  • Behavioural: Activity levels, impulsiveness, defiance, and sleep difficulties.

What is counselling?

Counselling is about talking about feelings. It's okay to talk about feelings! Did you know that talking about the way you think can change the way you feel?

Do you ever feel sad or angry?

If you do you should talk about it with someone.

Who should you talk to?

One of our trusted counsellors! They'll keep your secrets and help you feel better.

Are you currently in Crisis?

If you're currently in crisis and need help, please call 911 or visit your local emergency department.
