Equine-assisted therapy, or EAT, is a holistic therapeutic approach that combines traditional talk therapy with activities that involve horses. EAT has successfully been used to treat a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and stress disorders. During a session of EAT, clients engage in activities with horses, such as grooming, playing, and leading, under the supervision of a trained professional. These activities are intended to improve an individual’s overall well-being by promoting the development of self-awareness, trust, empathy, communication skills, and confidence. EAT can be especially helpful for those who struggle with traditional forms of therapy, as the presence of a horse can create a non-judgemental and supportive environment that can sometimes be difficult to achieve in traditional therapy settings. We have two programs available at this time (listed below). These programs are currently only available to adults (18+).

Hi, I am Maverick, an honest and conscientious horse who is sensitive and smart. After the hustle and bustle of working at racetracks in the United States and Canada, I love my quiet farm and enjoy the company of an emotional support pony at all times. Currently, my pony is out of town, and I am living with Casper, a cheeky little chap who keeps me on my toes. Even though he wasn't my first choice, we make it work, and he has grown on me. For some reason, kids and ponies are very calming. I also love water, baths, puddles, and even mud! Since moving here, I have been learning to slow down but I still love a good gallop sometimes.
Moon's picture and biography will be uploaded soon.
